Home Alarm Self Monitoring Kit
We have put this kit together for customers who want to monitor their homes alarm system for free through an internet connection.
With this Bosch alarm kit, you will be able to monitor and control your homes alarm system. The monitoring comes through Push notifications to your smartphone from the homes Bosch 2000 system through your internet service to a Bosch secure cloud server and onto your phone. You will also have the ability to log into your alarm and check its status or control arm/disarm through the Bosch Alarm App Remote Security Control Plus (RSC+)
The kit contains
1 x Bosch 2000 alarm system panel kit: includes the power supply, battery, cabinet, 8 zone Bosch panel, 8 zone Icon LCD Keypad, internal screamer and outside siren/ strobe box.
1 x Bosch B426-M ethernet module pre-installed in the cabinet and programmed to the Bosch 2000 panel.
1 x Free phone tech support to configure once installed at your business.
The kit is designed to upgrade an existing home alarm system by replacing the main control panel, and keypad with sirens/ strobes "Your old siren box is usually rusty and which causes issues with tampers" to existing wires and alarm sensors. If you need new alarm sensors to go with the kit, you can find these in the related products at the bottom of the page or choose from upgrade options available above the add to cart button at the right of this page
Once this kit is installed and connected to your premises internet modem, you will be able to register an account with Bosch's Secure Cloud Server, download the RSC+ app and scan the QR code then just login to your alarm with a valid code.
Issues to be noted
Please note that if your home has a complicated network configuration with high-level network security in place, you will require an IT professional to configure your network for the Bosch module to be accessible. But from my experience after installing at least 50 of these systems, it would be rare that you need an IT professional.
I should note that the installation does require a data network cable installed from where your homes internet modems located to the metal control panel box where the brains of your alarm systems situated.
It is a good idea to install a UPS "Uninterrupted Power Supply" and connect your internet modem to it. Doing this will ensure that in the event of a power outage you will still receive messages from the alarm system as the alarm and B426-M modules power is protected by battery backup, but the modem which allows transfers of signals to you will be powered down.
